Cermet, also known from aerospace technology, is a combination of metal (MET) and ceramic (CER) that protects extremely stressed turbine blades and drive shafts of a fighter jet from breakage.
This composite is significantly harder than any material used before.
Cerasteel utilizes these special properties to make cooking in your kitchen a pleasure. We use this exact material, which combines the properties of ceramic, which is extremely hard, and steel, which is simultaneously elastic and flexible.
Upon closer examination of our knife blades, you can see a slight shadow that reveals the layers of Cermet applied by laser. This is what makes our blades stay sharp for a very long time.
